ORGANIZATION
Crelogix was established in Canada in 1974 as a consumer finance company by the name of Travelers Acceptance
Corporation and it focused on the growing market for providing small and medium sized businesses with indirect
financing for its consumer customers desiring to acquire products and personal services.
In 1993 Travelers Acceptance Corporations’ United States based parent company sold its Canadian assets, and
the new Canadian company kept the Travelers name and brand as Travelers Financial Group.
In 2004 the former group was reorganized into three separate and autonomous companies, each focused in its
area of core competence. The indirect consumer finance company continued to grow and expanded its operation
becoming a national provider of indirect consumer financing solutions offered through thousands of authorized
business partners.
In 2008 the company increased its capital base through partnership among its existing private equity investors,
Servus Credit Union Ltd, and the company’s senior management group. Servus Credit Union is a full service member-owned
financial institution serving almost 400,000 members through a network of more than 100 locations in 62 Alberta
communities, with more than $10 billion in assets. Servus Credit Union member-owner deposits including accrued
interest are 100% guaranteed by the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation.
In 2009 the company changed its name to Crelogix.
In 2010 Crelogix bought back some of the shares held by the company’s founders and private equity investors and
Servus Credit Union Ltd. The purchase provided senior management group with a relatively higher ownership of
Crelogix while Servus Credit Union maintained its relative ownership position.
Today Crelogix is active across Canada in the tuition, automotive aftermarket, vacation ownership, healthcare, membership,
consumer durables, power products ,home improvement and financial intermediary sectors - advising its business and
institutional partners on unique and innovative consumer financial solutions from Loan Funding, Portfolio Acquisition,
Third-party Portfolio Administration, Servicing, Collections, Asset Recovery or the Disposal of Canadian consumer
instalment loan receivables portfolios that are no longer considered core to our partners strategic future.
